Curlsmith’s product lines are identified by different coloured bands. Some examples include Moisture Recipe, Frizz Recipe, Volume Recipe, Scalp Recipe, and Protein Recipe. Their strength line, identified by the purple band, is protein enriched and perfect for damaged hair.

While the Strength Recipe line contains protein, the orange Moisture Recipe line is protein-free. Curlsmith’s purple Protein Recipe line works best for fine hair that gets easily over moisturized or weighed down, people who have a looser wave or curl pattern, colour-treated or damaged hair. Since the orange Moisture Recipe line is protein free, this is recommended for tighter curls, low porosity curly hair, or anyone looking for additional moisturizing.
Curlsmith products do not cause buildup. Too much of any product can build up and weigh down your hair. All Curlsmith products are concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
